The Door was Unlocked

I went for a jog this afternoon while the kids were in their rooms napping/resting. I had David close the garage door behind me as our keypad opener isn’t working. Upon returning, I realized I needed to get in the house without disturbing the kids, but how? I tried the garage keypad but it didn’t work. I went to our backyard fence, but wasn’t tall enough to unlock it from the outside. I came to our front door and smiled in the doorbell camera hoping my husband would see me. I tapped lightly on the glass window. Then, I had an idea, I would rattle the doorknob so my husband would hear me and come open the door. As I put my hand on the doorknob to rattle it, I turned it and the door came open!

It was a powerful message to me about being taken care of. You see, upon me leaving for a jog, David already thought it through and unlocked the front door for me. This was such a reminder to me to trust that I don’t have to plan it all out perfectly. The Lord has provided me with this husband that can see a need and serve me.

This is so symbolic of me with the Lord. I am obsessively trying to figure things out, trying different things and all the while, He has already anticipated my need and provided for it. Lord, help me see clearly and not strive, rather receive what You have provisioned!
